Visibility – CRM, Triggers & Alerts, eDashboards

Patrick Bolan, Bonnie Cheung, Kevin Lanuke and Chris Leduc

Visibility is defined in MIS software as a measure of the accuracy and availability of critical information.

A Management Information System can hold a complete model of an entire factory’s performance. Estimates, schedules, equipment effectiveness, fault classes, stock levels, run times, equipment availability, productivity levels, alarm statuses – there is clearly no shortage of facts. But how can you make sure that the data collection is simple, accurate, relevant and timely? That’s what we want to talk about.

This session will cover:

  • Business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Critical to achieving your business objectives, having this real knowledge available at your fingertips will help you make strong business decisions
  • Customer Visibility: We will focus on providing access to customer inventory, inbound and outbound orders (and the status of those orders), receipts (and the status of those receipts), and invoices. When appropriate, these documents can not only be viewed, but printed remotely by customers.
  • Triggers & Alerts – utilizing live information for Scheduling, Ordering, and Management of Orders in a variety of ways. How other Modules helps make this information more manageable and automated.
  • Demo on triggers and alerts, managing shops by exceptions
  • Tips and tricks
  • Low Stock Notifications
  • Shipping Notifications with Shipping Tracking Numbers
  • eDashboards – show key metrics right down to the document level
  • Key reports for this area

Reporting Part 2 – Crystal Report – How To

Zehava Tyberg, Avanti, Brian Trott, U.S. Senate and
Walter Kuric, CJ Graphics

Avanti provides the user a range of reports that give you exactly the information that you are looking for, however maybe you need two or more pieces of data that would make the report more meaningful to your organization, or maybe there's more data than you want to reveal on a report. With a basic understanding of Crystal, and some knowledge of the Avanti database, you can quickly add, remove or reorganize fields in Avanti reports and have your own custom reports with the information you want or graphics that spotlight your organization. Participants will work in small groups within this session, and have the opportunity to review and modify existing report structures and manipulate fields, as well as build reports by joining tables and applying specific queries to retrieve data. We encourage users to bring a custom report they may want to share with the group, or thoughts and ideas that we could possibly translate into a workable report within Avanti.
