Avanti makes a significant donation to the University of Waterloo's In-Plant Print Shop

Visiting the University of Waterloo brings back many great memories for Avanti's three owners

The three owners of Avanti took advantage of a business trip to Waterloo Region to swing by their alma mater, the University of Waterloo. “The memories just come flooding back when you look out at the village green, the Campus Centre and the MC building. It seems like only yesterday that we were frosh ourselves – but then you do the math and realize it was quite a while ago” says Stephen McWilliam (BA’86), Avanti’s Executive Vice President.

“It was wonderful to see all the changes to campus and I can’t believe all the expansion north of Columbia – that was all corn field when we were undergrads” commented Peter Funnell (BMath’89) , Avanti’s CFO.

“The University of Waterloo played such an important role in bringing the three of us together” said Patrick Bolan (BA’86), Avanti’s President and CEO, “So what impressed me the most was to see the VeloCity campus, a great entrepreneur incubator – just imagine if we had that back in ’86!”
