At Avanti, our goal is to help print providers deliver more jobs, in less time, with the confidence in knowing that every aspect of the shop is integrated into one powerful Print MIS platform –Avanti Slingshot. The platform connects islands of automation, eliminates breakpoints in workflow, and gets critical information into the hands of shop owners and managers – when it's needed, where it’s needed, and in a format that is most actionable.

An extension to the Avanti Slingshot MIS, the Avanti Slingshot Mobile application allows employees to complete jobs/processes without being tethered to a workstation.

A new feature on the Avanti Slingshot Mobile Application allows paperless and wireless warehouse picking and replenishment of inventory items using the pick lists and replenishment transfers generated in the Avanti Slingshot application.

The pick function will display pick lists sorted by priority and/or assigned to the user from Avanti Slingshot. The pick list will route the user through the warehouse in the most logical and efficient manor based on the warehouse configuration while keeping track of the moveable units (e.g. totes and/or boxes) that are associated with each order, so that all items for each order are picked together. All items being picked by order are reflected in real-time in the Avanti Slingshot Pick List program.

Replenishments calculated using minimum quantities by item similarly route the user logically through the warehouse for both the pick and re-stocking functions of the transfer of fast-moving items from a bulk location to a quick picking location.

Avanti Slingshot Mobile Fulfillment is part of the MIS. It is not a separate system designed for another industry and integrated with the system of record for inventory. All of the calculations and statistics used to walk the mobile user through the fulfillment processes come directly from the Avanti Slingshot system. One system is responsible for the management of the entire fulfillment process – start to finish.

Since inventory is managed in the Avanti Slingshot system, including available quantities and reserves, the instructions to pick and replenish sent to the mobile application will be 100% accurate. No more arriving at a location only to find that the item is missing or has already been picked for another order.

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. The process of picking for multiple orders at once is streamlined for efficiency by routing the employee through the warehouse logically instead of backtracking, saving time and effort on every pick and replenishment.

Real-time tracking of the fulfillment processes from the mobile application and feedback to management will help to improve accountability and measure productivity. At any time a supervisor has visibility into the status and progress of every pick and replenishment in progress or completed in the mobile application.
