Message from the President’s Desk

With the industry tradeshow season ramping up and exciting new announcements at Avanti, we are looking forward to a busy September and October, which will kick off with one of the largest tradeshow’s of the year, PRINT 13, taking place in Chicago from September 8-12 at McCormick Place. Avanti will be revealing its next generation Print MIS system at Print13 and are very excited that Avanti Slingshot has been recognized  for the Must See’em award in the Management Systems category.

Please be sure that you come and find us at one of four booths, the Avanti Booth #4242, Ricoh Booth #1931, HP Booth #1241 and XMPie Booth#1202. In both the Ricoh booth and the HP booth, we will be part of a live automation workflow demonstration. We will also be hosting a demonstration theatre in the Avanti booth to showcase Avanti Slingshot so be sure to stop by for a detailed demonstration.

Also, On Wednesday from 5:15 PM -7:00 PM, Avanti would like to host our customers who are in town and have a "meet and greet" and chance to network in Avanti's suite at the Hyatt hotel. Please drop by our booth 4242 for details.

Avanti will be participating in SGIA again this year taking place from Oct 23-25 in Orlando, Florida. SGIA showcases a broad range of product materials, technologies and applications in the digital printing, screen, graphic, garment, industrial and printed electronics sector. If you are unable to make it to PRINT13, we hope to see you at SGIA.

As you are already aware, in July, we made an announcement that Ricoh Company Japan purchased a minority interest in Avanti, which enables both of our companies to better support our customers with leading edge services that can now be offered globally. We are happy to discuss this with customers in more detail if you were unable to join us during our informational webinars.

I’d now like to take a quick moment to welcome new Avanti customers aboard including Mayo Group in Rochester MN, American Printing Company in Birmingham, AL, Commercial Printing also in Birmingham, AL, Swift Printing in Grand Rapids, MI, Brilliant Graphics in Exton, PA and Colourmark, in Carrollton Texas.

Many of you have been inquiring as to the date of our next user group conference. On behalf of the user executive committee, we’d like to announce that we will be hosting our 2014 user conference from May 27-30 in Toronto and are in the process of finalizing the venue. The user group committee will kick off with a planning session at Print13 this year so please send us any important considerations that you would like included in the agenda. We’ve read through all of the feedback and will be hosting a four day event this year as suggested, with one of the days being more technical. Please stay tuned for more information and be sure to mark your calendars for May next year.

And finally, we will be releasing Version 14.0, the third week of September. Version 14.0 includes exciting new features such as the Advanced Fulfillment module including Contracts and Commissions; Enhanced Job Jackets to Print Kit details, Multiple Requisitions to one PO amongst other new features that will be announced during our Next Release webinar which will be confirmed shortly.We will also be creating videos of each new feature that will be uploaded to Zendesk for easy customer access in the near future.
